Prayer Strategies

WEEK OF APRIL 17, 2017

PRAISE GOD, THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE!

“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies.” John 11:27

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”  I Peter 1:3

Merciful God, we give You praise for being the resurrection and the life. You did not stay in the tomb, Jesus, but rose again and are now seated at the right hand of the Father.

PRAY FOR HEARTS THAT EMBRACE GOD’S TRUTH

“Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.”  John 8:32

“The Lord detests lying lips, but He delights in men who are truthful.”  Proverbs 12:22

Lord, we pray that students and staff would embrace Your truth. May they spend time in Your word and develop in their hearts a great love for Your truth that will set them free. If lying has become a stronghold in their lives, bring conviction, repentance and a sanctified tongue.

PRAY FOR HEARTS OF GRATITUDE

“I will give thanks to You, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.”  Psalm 9:1

“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.”  Psalm 118:1

May our school communities recognize Your love, goodness and wonderful deeds and turn to You with grateful hearts.

Please pray for the students and staff of Toledo Public Schools and their Superintendent, Dr. Romulus Durant.

“Sometimes we think we are too busy to pray. That is a great mistake, for praying is a saving of time.”

-Charles H. Spurgeon
