Praise God, Who Hears!

“I love the Lord because He hears and answers my prayers. Because He bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I live.”                                                                                       Psalm 116:12

“Before they call I will answer, while they are still speaking I will hear.”                    Isaiah 65:24

Lord, we give You thanks for listening to our prayers. You, the creator of the universe, are not too busy or distracted to hear our voices.

Pray for Hearts that Listen

“Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.”            James 1:19

“Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” Hebrews 4:7

We pray for a new movement of hearts that will listen for Your voice. When we hear, may we not harden our hearts, but trust You in obedience. Thank You in advance for the healing and blessing that will come as a result of heeding Your voice.

Pray for Hearts to Listen to Needs and to Meet Them

“If a brother or sister is without clothes and lacks daily food and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well,’ but you don’t give them what the body needs, what good is it?” James 2:15

“Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”  Philippians 2:4

May we listen well to the needs of those in our school community. May we look beyond our own interests to creatively meet the needs of others.

We pray for the students and staff of Delta Schools and their Superintendent, Dr. Ted Hasselman.

“God speaks in the silence of the heart. Listening is the beginning of prayer.”

-Mother Teresa, 1910-1997
