Praise God for His Strength!

“Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.”  Psalm 24:8

“Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite.” Psalm 147:5

God, we give You praise today because You are strong and mighty. You never have been and never will be defeated. Your strength is abundant and Your understanding is infinite.

Pray for Hearts to be Strong in the Lord

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.” Psalm 28:7

“…the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

We pray that those in our school community who have a personal relationship with You would experience strength as they trust in You. May Your joy in their hearts that produces strength be so contagious that many are drawn to put their faith in Jesus.

Pray for Hearts that Strengthen Others

“Judas and Silas, who themselves were prophets, said much to encourage and strengthen the brothers.”   Acts 15:32

“We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves.” Romans 15:1

May students and staff be aware of those around them who are feeling weak or discouraged. May words be spoken to encourage and strengthen them as the focus shifts from self to others.

We pray for the students and staff of Northwood Local Schools and their Superintendent, Mr. Jason Kozina.

“Prayer is not a means by which I seek to control God; it is a means of putting myself in a position where God can control me.”                                                                                                                                                        -Charles L. Allen, pastor and columnist, 1913-2005.
