Prayer Strategies

WEEK OF NOVEMBER 14, 2016

PRAISE GOD, OUR PROTECTOR!

“But let all who take refuge in You be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread Your protection over them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You.”  Psalm 5:11

“You are my hiding place; You will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.”  Psalm 32:7

Lord, we take refuge in You, continually singing for joy! We acknowledge that You are our protector. Thank You for being our shield and defense both in the seen and the unseen realm. Nothing can touch us without first passing through Your protective hand.

PRAY FOR HEARTS THAT CRY OUT TO GOD

“In my distress I called to the Lord, and He answered me.”  Jonah 2:2

“I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry.” Psalm 40:1

We lift up _____________to You and ask that when she is in distress that she would look not to herself, to substances or to relationships for relief and answers, but only to You. May her relationship with You deepen this year so that You are her first thought as she awakens in the morning and her last thought even as she drifts off to sleep.  As You answer her cries, allow her opportunities to share with others that You are a personal God who hears and answers.

PRAY FOR HEARTS OF COMPASSION

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32

“…live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic; love as brothers, be compassionate and humble.” I Peter 3:8

God, in the midst of messy relationships, may students and staff choose to show compassion to one another, following Your example of humility and forgiveness.

Please pray for the preschoolers of our city.

“I cannot recall a day when I truly saved time by jumping into the day’s work without prayer. It may have seemed so at the moment, but as the day wore on, everything seemed out of sync, and time was lost.”    -David Jeremiah
