PRAISE GOD, OUR FATHER!

“A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling.”                                                             Psalm 68:5

“’I will be a father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters,’ says the Lord Almighty.”                         II Corinthians 6:18

Lord, we praise You for being our good Father, our protector and defender. Draw the children of our city into a loving relationship with You, showing kindness and care to each one.

PRAY FOR HEARTS OF INTEGRITY

“The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out.”                                      Proverbs 10:9

“I know, my God, that You test the heart and are pleased with integrity.”                                                            I Chronicles 29:17

We pray for pure and undivided hearts of integrity. You are the One who creates this internal quality which in turn produces a secure path. May our school communities be marked by integrity, which pleases You.

PRAY FOR HEARTS WHICH SPEAK TRUTH

“For my mouth will utter truth.”                                                                                                                                                  Proverbs 8:7

“Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor…”                                               Ephesians 4:25

God, we ask You to give the children in our city a love for truth and the desire to seek it out. Encourage them to put off falsehood and speak truthfully. May teachers be trustworthy role models, speaking the truth as they instruct their students.

Please pray for the students and staff of Ottawa Hills Schools and their Superintendent, Kevin Miller.
