KEEP WATCH PRAYER STRATEGY

WEEK OF OCTOBER 19, 2015

PRAISE GOD FOR HIS FORGIVENESS!

“You are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love.”          Nehemiah 9:17

We worship and praise You, Lord, for being forgiving toward all You have made. Thanks that You don’t treat us as our sins deserve. Instead, You have offered Your Son, Jesus, as a sacrifice in our place to receive the punishment that we deserve. We can never repay you so instead we offer our thanks and praise for the priceless gifts of salvation and forgiveness!

PRAY FOR HEARTS THAT CHOOSE GOD

“But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve.”                                                                                                                                                                                                   Joshua 24:15

Thank You, God, for giving us the choice of whether or not to follow You. We pray that ________ would understand in a fresh way Your love, plan and purpose for him, playing a role in Your story. Let all other options of what to give his life to pale in comparison to the choice of knowing and serving You.

PRAY FOR HEARTS THAT LISTEN TO GOD

“The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, ‘Samuel! Samuel!’ Then Samuel said, ‘Speak, for your servant is listening.’”                                                                                                                                           I Samuel 3:10

Lord, it is so humbling to realize that You desire to speak with us! We pray that this generation of children, who are sitting in classrooms throughout our city, would have hearts that desire to hear from You. May they turn away from things that numb and distract their soul. May the world be changed as they listen for and obey Your voice.

Please pray for the students and staff of Ottawa Hills.

“Prayer is the greatest force that we can wield. It is the greatest talent which God has granted us. He has given it to every Christian.”                                                                                                                                                   John Mott
