Prayer Strategies

WEEK OF OCTOBER 2, 2017

PRAISE GOD, WHO IS TRUTH!

“I came to bring truth to the world. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true.”                           John 18:37

“Jesus said, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”          John 14:6

We praise You, as You are truth. What tremendous assurance we have in knowing that we can believe everything You say and do, as You do not lie!

PRAY FOR HEARTS TO BELIEVE TRUTH

“Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.”                                                                                  John 8:32

“The Lord detests lying lips, but He delights in men who are truthful.”                                                          Proverbs 12:22

Lord, we pray that students and staff would believe and embrace Your truth which sets us free. As they study and learn we pray that the curriculum would be based on truth and not the wisdom of the world. If that is not the case, we ask that You would speak to hearts, giving wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

PRAY THAT BELIEVING TRUTH LEADS TO MORALITY

God, we do not need to look even beyond ourselves to recognize that there is a battle in our hearts and in our world between good and evil. Our desire for this school community is for all to know and believe Your truth which will in turn lead to morality. I Corinthians 6 says, “for you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.” Live out Your truth in and through us.

Please pray for the students and staff of Gibsonburg Schools and their Superintendent, Mr. Tim Murray.

“Real praying is a costly exercise but it pays far more than it costs. It is not easy work but it is most profitable of all work. We can accomplish more by time and strength put into prayer that we can by putting the same amount of time and strength into anything else.”                                                                                                                         -R.A.
