KEEP WATCH PRAYER STRATEGY

WEEK OF OCTOBER 5, 2015

PRAISE GOD FOR HIS MERCY!

“The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.”                                                                                                             James 5:11

Lord, we praise You for being full of compassion and mercy. You do not treat us as our sins deserve, but instead have provided Your son as a payment for our sin.  We can not thank and praise You enough for this incredible gift of mercy that You have freely given. We lift our eyes and hearts to You and say that there is no other God but You!

PRAY FOR HEARTS THAT LOVE GOD

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”          Matthew 22:37

We pray that ______________would love You with all of his heart, soul and strength. Create in him an undivided heart that will focus on You fully, and shut out distractions. Encourage him to spend time alone with You, developing that love relationship with his creator, which will bring transformation and impact every other relationship in his life. Thank you for the privilege of loving You.

PRAY FOR HEARTS THAT LOVE OTHERS

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”                                      I Peter 4:8

God, would You give us hearts of love for each other. Not superficial, performance-based “love” but that which is unconditional, full of both grace and truth. Lead us to ways of expressing love by serving, encouraging, praying for and speaking well of others. Please reverse negative thought patterns we may have toward others and fill us with Your mind-set of love, as love covers over a multitude of sins.

Please pray for the students and staff of Oregon Schools and their superintendent, Hal Gregory.

“Time spent alone with God is not wasted. It changes us; it changes our surroundings; and every Christian who would live the life that counts, and who would have power for service must take time to pray.          M.E. Andross
