As we gather to pray at 92 schools this week, feel free to use this prayer strategy as a springboard in your groups. Focus on one or two verses or utilize all of them, however you sense the Lord leading at each school. We thank God in advance for all He will accomplish this week!
Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise!
Praise God for His Love “For great is Your love, higher than the heavens…” Psalm 108:3
Praise God Who Hears “Because He turned His ear to me I will call on Him as long as I live.” Psalm 116:2
Claim These Schools for God “I will give you every place you set your foot.” Joshua 1:3
Open Doors for Keep Watch “…a great door for effective work has opened to me…” I Corinthians 16:9
Break Chains in School Communities “He led them from the darkness and deepest gloom; he snapped their chains.” Psalm 107:14
Pray for Students
Believe Truth: “Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32
Friendship: “Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.” Proverbs 13:20
Growth: “Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people.” Luke 2:52
Hear God: “And Samuel replied, ‘Speak, for your servant is listening.’” I Samuel 3:10
Protection: “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” Psalm 4:8
Purpose: “You have carried out the mission the Lord your God gave you.” Joshua 22:3
Salvation: “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved-you and your household.” Acts 16:31
Pray for Teachers, Principals, Superintendents, Staff
Refreshment: “You refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” Job 31:25
Surrender: “Surrender yourself to the Lord and wait patiently for Him.” Psalm 37:7
Courage: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
Pray for Families
Encouragement: “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up…” I Thessalonians 5:11
Forgiveness: “Be kind & compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
Parents: “Fathers (and mothers), do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.” Colossians 3:21
Relationships: “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!” Psalm 133:1
Safety: “Deliver me, O Lord, from evil men; preserve me from violent men…” Psalm 140:1
Worship: “Worship the Lord with gladness, come before Him with joyful songs.” Psalm 100:2
