Prayer Focus for First Week Back, Fall 2019

By August 24, 2019 No Comments

Praise our God of New Beginnings!

“And He who was seated on the throne said, ‘Behold, I am making all things new.’”  Revelation 21:5

“Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”  Lamentations 3:22-24

God, we praise You for being the God of new beginnings! You are the Creator, the One who does new things. Open our eyes to perceive what You are doing.

Pray for Hearts to Experience a New Beginning with God

“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone and the new has come.” II Corinthians 5:17.

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”  Isaiah 43:18,19

Pour our Your Spirit on each person in our school community, creating new, spiritual lives in the students and staff. We believe that a new start with God will transform homes, schools and communities.

Pray for Hearts to Experience a New Beginning at School

“One thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.”  Philippians 3:13

Lord, we ask You to give students and staff a fresh start and new beginnings this school year. May labels and preconceived notions from the past be put to rest. May they move forward with a clean slate, embracing the opportunity to learn, to grow and to serve others.

Please pray for the staff and students of Anthony Wayne Schools and their Superintendent, Mr. Jim Fritz.

“Prayer is the greatest force that we can wield. It is the greatest talent which God has granted us. He has given it to every Christian.”               -John Mott, long-serving leader of the YMCA, Nobel Peace Prize (1946)
