“For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise, He is to be feared about all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before Him, strength and joy in His dwelling place.”                                                                                                                                                                               I Chronicles 16:25-27

“Then will I go to the altar of God, to God, my joy and my delight.”                                                                        Psalm 43:4

Lord, we praise You for being our God of joy. We look forward to the day when we will worship You face to face. It is then that our joy will be totally complete. Until that time, we recognize that joy is part of Your character and a taste of the fullness of our relationship with You. You are our joy and our delight!

“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.”                                                                                                                                                                                                             Exodus 20:12

“Honor one another above yourselves.”                                                                                                                    Romans 12:10

Jesus, we pray that this generation would return to You and as a result would have a renewed honor and respect for their parents. May kids take the initiative to speak a kind word, do an unrequested chore and value the opinion of their parents, whom You have set up as ones who will protect, provide for and love their children. Where there has been dysfunction and loss of trust we ask that You would bring healing, reconciliation and hope.

“…whoever is kind to the needy honors God.”                                                                                                        Proverbs 14:31

“He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward him for what he has done.”                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Proverbs 19:17

May __________develop a heart for the needy, realizing Your heart for those less fortunate and the joy that accompanies a generous spirit.

Please pray for the students and staff of Perrysburg Schools and their superintendent, Tom Hosler.

“Blessed are the single-hearted, for they shall enjoy much peace. If you refuse to be hurried and pressed, if you stay your soul on God, nothing can keep you from that clearness of spirit which is life and peace. In that stillness you will know what His will is.”                                                                                                                                            -Amy Carmichael
