PRAISE GOD, WHO INTERCEDES FOR US!
“Christ Jesus, who died-more than that, who was raised to life-is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.” Romans 8:34
“He is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.” Hebrews 7:25
Jesus, You died for us, were raised to the Father’s right hand and are always interceding for us. We praise and thank You for loving us so much that you continually pray for us! Please empower us so we in turn can pray for others.
PRAY FOR HEARTS THAT SUBMIT TO AUTHORITY
“Obey your leaders and submit to their authority.” Hebrews 13:17
“Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Romans 14:1,2
God, we ask that You would work in the hearts of students so that they would be submissive to authority. Thank You for creating an authority structure in order to produce stability, leadership and boundaries. May rebellion have no place in our city and may those in authority lead with humility.
PRAY FOR UNITED HEARTS
“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:3
“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5,6
God, we pray against division and strife and ask that You would create unity in the hearts of students and teachers in each school building in our city. This is an issue of the heart, so we ask that You would draw hearts into relationship with You. May a fresh movement of Your Spirit produce many unified followers of Jesus.
Please pray for the students and staff of Sylvania Schools and their superintendent, Mr. Scott Nelson.
“It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor.” -George Washington
