30 Seconds of Silent Reflection

Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn from evil and do good. Seek peace and pursue it. Psalm 34:13,14

Praise God, our Source of True Wisdom

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5

God, we praise you for the countless ways your wisdom and self-control enrich our lives. Your wisdom is a light in the darkness in a world that is often filled with confusion and uncertainty. Teach us to make decisions that honor you and to reflect your love in our words and actions.

Pray for Hearts that Seek Godly Wisdom

The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint, and whoever has understanding is even-tempered. Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues. Proverbs 17:27,28

Lord, grant us the wisdom to discern the fine line between harmless fun and hurtful actions. Help us to use our words and deeds to uplift and encourage others, rather than to cause pain or embarrassment. Give students, specifically ___________ wisdom to see your plan for their lives. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Encouraging Prayer Quote

We must get rid of the idea that God answers prayer only in one way; God answers prayer in the best way – not sometimes but every time…The purpose of prayer is that we get a hold of God, not the answer. Wisdom comes with the ability to be content with His will and not our own.

Oswald Chambers, Scottish author and evangelist.
