Praise God, Our God of Generosity

“How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.” Psalm 31:19

God, we praise You for Your generous Spirit. You give far more than we can ask or imagine. You desire to bless us with abundance. It may not come in earthly treasures, but You give us far more through the gift of eternal life with You, as well as, peace, joy and blessings now as we live our lives walking in Your Holy presence.

Pray for Hearts to be Generous

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7

Sovereign Lord, we ask for people to answer Your call to give generously. As You speak to their hearts, let them hear Your voice and respond in obedience. It may be through the giving of their time, talents, or monetarily, but may they be cheerful givers. Speak to their hearts as to where and how much they are to give, whether it’s to their church, Christian organizations like Keep Watch, the schools and _____________________. We trust in Your provision and ask in the name of Jesus Christ for the gifts to be multiplied and used according to Your will, for Your purpose and to glorify You!

Pray for Hearts that are Content and Generous

“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.”   2 Corinthians 9:11

We thank you God for those who give so generously to the needs they see around them. Have compassion on them Lord and give them hearts of contentment and gratitude for what they have to offer. Bless them richly with a joy that comes from being a light to others and walking according to Your will.

“There are parts of our calling, works of the Holy Spirit, and defeats of the darkness that will come no other way than through furious, fervent, faith-filled, unceasing prayer.” – Beth Moore, an evangelist, author and Bible teacher
