As you gather with your group, pause for a moment of silence, asking God to prepare your heart to pray.
Praise God, Our Source of Rest
Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30
Almighty God, You are our only true source of rest. We surrender our burdens to You and ask You to fill our hearts with joy and peace as we rest in You and Your will for our lives.
Pray for Hearts to Find Rest
There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from His. Hebrews 4:9,10
God, we lift up to You all who are weary. May they recognize their need for rest and carve time out of their schedules to rest their body, mind and spirit all while making You a priority. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
