Praise God, Who Perseveres

“fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2

“being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 1:6

Lord, we praise You for Your faithfulness. You showed us what perseverance looks like as You endured the cross. And we thank You for continuing to work in us, creating a masterpiece, as we surrender to You. Thank You for showing us the way.

Pray for Hearts that Persevere

“…And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”  Hebrews 12:1

“Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 3:13-14

Lord, in this difficult season, we pray that You will empower teachers and school staff to persevere. We ask that You give renewed joy and hope as they serve the students and families of their school communities. And we pray for students to persevere spiritually, academically, and socially. We pray for endurance to finish the school year well and with anticipation for the future.

Pray for Hearts that Encourage Others to Persevere

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”  Galatians 6:9

“being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience…”  Colossians 1:11

We pray that as students, teachers, and administrators interact that there would be an atmosphere of encouragement. We pray that students would cheer each other on in doing good things. We pray that teachers and administrators that know You would speak words of life that would encourage their coworkers to persevere. May all hearts be directed toward You.

“Perseverance in prayer is not overcoming God’s reluctance but rather laying hold of God’s willingness. Our sovereign God has purposed to sometimes require persevering prayer as the means to accomplish His will.” – William Thrasher, Graduate Professor, Author, and Speaker

Mission: to see every school covered in prayer so that the power and presence of God are experienced in our communities.
