Praise God, Who Is Worthy of Our Respect

“I am the Lord your God. I brought you out of Egypt. That is the land where you were slaves. Do not put any other gods in place of me. Do not make for yourself statues of gods that look like anything in the sky. They may not look like anything on the earth or in the waters either. Do not bow down to them or worship them. I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God.” Exodus 20:2-5

Heavenly Father, we love You and we praise You. You are God and God alone. You are worthy of our devotion and our respect.

Pray for Hearts that Respect God

“If you really want to become wise, you must begin by having respect for the Lord.” Psalm 111:10a

Lord, thank You for the opportunity given to us to pray for our schools, a place where wisdom is gained.

We acknowledge that true wisdom comes not from the world or even through academics, but from a respect for You. Respecting You comes from a relationship with You, so Lord, go before every lesson taught and every conversation held, using them to draw others into a knowledge of You.

Pray for Hearts that Respect Others

“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 7:12

Treating others as we want to be treated is all about respect. Lord, we ask that this be lived out in our school, that students and staff would respect and honor one another. Where there has been division, bring unity, where there’s been chaos, please bring peace. May all who walk these halls feel respected and show respect to others especially when it comes to _________________________.

“The greatest tragedy of life is not unanswered prayer, but unoffered prayer.” – F.B. Meyer, friend of D. L. Moody and A. C. Dixon, a Baptist pastor and evangelist in England.

Mission: to see every school covered in prayer so that the power and presence of God are experienced in our communities.
