Praise God, Who is Light!

“God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all.”  I John 1:5

“The Lord is my light and my salvation-whom shall I fear?”  Psalm 27:1

God, we acknowledge that You are light, both physically and spiritually. Darkness flees from You. We bring You praise for Your perfection and light. In You we do not need to be afraid.

 Pray for Hearts of Light

“…let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”   Matthew 5:16

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.”      Isaiah 60:1

Lord, we pray for Your light to shine in the hearts of the children of our city. Protect them from darkness and evil and produce in them good deeds which will point others to You.

Pray for Those Who Carry God’s Light

“I have placed you as a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the end of the earth.” Acts 13:47

We pray that You would encourage and spur on those who bring God’s light into school communities through Children’s Outreach Ministries, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Young Life and other ministries. Draw students and staff to Yourself through their faithful teaching of Your word.

We pray for the students and staff of Perrysburg Local Schools and their Superintendent, Mr. Tom Hosler.

“Prayer should not be regarded as a duty which must be performed, but rather as a privilege to be enjoyed, a rare delight that is always revealing some new beauty.”                                                                                                   -E.M. Bounds, author. 1835-1913
