Praise God, Our Wise Father Who Always Listens
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Do not depend on your own understanding. In all your ways, remember him. Then he will make your path smooth and straight. Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Have respect for the Lord and avoid evil.” Proverbs 3:5-7
Praise our God who is always trustworthy. Praise to our God who listens to us always on our good days and on our bad days. God, You are always open and available to hear us as we cry out. Our God is wise and provides us with understanding, wisdom and gentle guidance.
Pray for Hearts that Listen to God
“But they did not listen. They refused to pay attention to me (God). Instead, they did what their stubborn and evil hearts wanted them to do. They went backward and not forward.” Jeremiah 7:24
Lord, You have given us ears to hear but we don’t always listen. Please help us to be still and wait for Your direction rather than rush into our daily lives with our own understanding. Help our school community to move forward not backward and respond positively to Your nudging and correcting.
Pray for Hearts that will Hear Your Voice above all Others
“Son of man, you are living among a rebellious people. They have eyes to see but do not see and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious people.” Ezekiel 12:2
We pray, Lord, that the students, teachers and parents would have their eyes open to see You at work in their schools. Lord, there are so many voices speaking to our students through friends, on-line content, music and social media. Help them to hear Your voice above the noise of the world. Bring positive mentors and role models that love You into their lives. We specifically pray for _______________.
