Praise God, Who Forgives

“You are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love.” Nehemiah 9:17

God, we give You thanks and praise for being gracious, compassionate and forgiving. Your forgiveness, through Jesus’ sacrifice, is a reflection of Your love and goodness.

Pray for Hearts to Receive God’s Forgiveness

“Then I acknowledged my sin to You and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord’ and You forgave the guilt of my sin.”     Psalm 32:5

We pray that students and staff will freely acknowledge their sin to You, not hiding or rationalizing thoughts, words or actions, especially during this challenging season when tempers may be short. You are faithful and just to forgive and cleanse when we come to You.

Pray for Hearts of Forgiveness

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”  Ephesians 4:32

May our school community be a place marked by forgiveness; not by criticism, anger or revenge. May each member of our school community look to You to produce in them love, compassion, kindness and forgiveness, especially in this particular situation __________________  (pray silently).  May each person also be willing to forgive themselves.

“By repentance and forgiveness, we may enter into a deeper spirituality, a more intimate communion with God, a stronger character for ourselves and a finer sympathy with others.”   Al Brant, former editor in chief of Zondervan Publishing House

Mission: to see every school covered in prayer so that the power and presence of God are experienced in our communities.
