PRAISE GOD, THE JUDGE!
“Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing.” II Timothy 4:8
“There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the One who is able to save and to destroy; but who are you to judge your neighbor? James 4:12
God, we praise You for being a righteous judge. You are great and mighty, with the power to save and to destroy. Thank You for Your righteousness which You offer to us as a free gift in Jesus, who takes away our sin.
PRAY FOR OBEDIENT HEARTS
“Jonah obeyed the word of the Lord and went to Nineveh.” Jonah 3:3
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.” Ephesians 6:1
Lord, we pray that prompt obedience to authority would be not be the exception but the rule in our classrooms and homes. May new thought patterns be created in the minds of our children so that their inclination is to obey You, their parents and their teachers, for this is right.
PRAY FOR HEARTS THAT COMMUNICATE THE GOSPEL
“Phillip went down to the city of Samaria and began proclaiming Christ to them.” Acts 8:5
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15
May the students who believe in You, Jesus, be sensitive to the opportunities You are creating for them to share the gospel, proclaiming Christ to their classmates. We pray for a fresh outpouring of your Spirit in drawing students into relationship with You.
Please pray for the students and staff of Springfield Local Schools and their Superintendent, Dr. Michael O’Shea.
“In the calmness of the morning before the mind is heated and weary by the turmoil of the day, you have a season of unusual importance for communing with God and with yourself.” -William Wilberforce
