Praise God for His Perseverance
“May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.” 2 Thessalonians 3:5
God, we praise You for giving us the perseverance we need each day, through the gift of Your son, Jesus. As we feel encouraged today, remembering Your love and Christ’s perseverance, we pray that You would set our hearts on things above so we can bring glory to You and stand in the gap for everyone here in this school. Direct our footsteps and lead our prayers as we bring our petitions to You.
Pray for Hearts to Persevere
“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” James 1: 2-4
Lord, we know You have given us everything we need to persevere. We live in a fallen world where there are challenges all around us. We pray over this school community and all of the challenges they face. We pray for hearts to persevere and seek Your wisdom in any trying situation so they may be mature and complete and not lacking anything. We trust You Father, especially in this situation we lay before you now___________________ and thank You for what You are about to do to bring about change and draw hearts closer to You and Your love and kindness.
Pray for Hearts Full of Perseverance
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us…” Hebrews 12:1
Father God, help us all to run in a way to get the prize You have set out for us. Help us to keep our eyes focused on You so we can experience the ultimate prize that will last forever. We pray for everyone in our school community to experience Your love and peace in a new way, that will encourage them to have hearts full of perseverance as they seek after what is noble, pure and true in a world wanting to pull them in the opposite direction. Give each student a heart of endurance to pursue You in a way they never have before and do away with anything that may be hindering them from living a deep relationship with You.
