Please consider how you can encourage teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 8-12.
Praise God, Our Teacher
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.” Psalm 32:8
Lord, we praise You that You have given us your Holy Spirit and your Word to teach us Your ways. Thank You for Your instruction, direction, counsel and care.
Pray for Hearts that are Teachable
“Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23-24
Thank You, Lord, for teachers and the gift of teaching! We pray for students’ hearts to be open to learning not just skills and facts, but kindness and friendship.
Pray for Hearts that Desire Wisdom
“If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5
We declare that You, Lord, can open all hearts and minds. May our school communities experience truth in teaching, looking to You for wisdom. We especially pray for _____________, believing that You will give generously what is needed.
“The object of Christian faith is not the teaching but the Teacher (Jesus).” – Soren Kierkegaard, 19th century Theologian
Mission: to see every school covered in prayer so that the power and presence of God are experienced in our communities.
