Praise our God who Hears us
“Praise the Lord! For He has heard my cry for mercy.” Psalm 28:6
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.” 1 John 5:14
God, we praise You for being the God who hears us whether we are praying for ourselves or praying for others. We praise You for the confidence this gives us in approaching You in prayer. Hear our prayers, O Lord.
Pray for Hearts to Listen and Hear One Another
“Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to become angry.” James 1:19
“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man listens to advice.” Proverbs 12:15
God, we pray for peace in our schools. We pray that students will listen to the advice and wisdom from teachers. We ask that everyone who speaks will feel heard. Please bring healing, restoration and clarity as it relates to listening and hearing.
Pray for Hearts to Hear God above Everything Else.
“Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave.” 1 Kings 19:11-13
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person and they with Me.” Revelation 3:20
Above all, Lord, we pray for hearts to hear You above all that competes to be heard. We pray for Your still, small voice to sound loud and clear. We pray for hearts to open and respond to Your voice.
