Praise God, Our Light

“The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?” -Psalm 27:1

God, we praise You, our source of Light!  We have no reason to fear the darkness because Your Light will always shine the way for us!  We thank You for being our stronghold in times of trouble.

Pray for Hearts to Experience the Light of Jesus

“In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”           John 1:4-5

Lord, we pray that You would shine Your light in the dark places here in our school community especially in the area of _________.  We lift up all those students and staff members who are struggling with issues of despair and hopeless.  May they be guided by Your Light to overcome the darkness they are experiencing and be set free from anything that is holding them back from feeling the warmth of Your light and love.

Pray for Hearts that Will Light the Way for Others

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”  -Matthew 5:16

We declare that the Light of Jesus will dispel all darkness here in our school community.  We pray that those students and staff members who know You as their Lord and Savior, will shine brightly.  By their good deeds, others will come to know You as their source of Light.  May our school community glorify You!

“We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won’t need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don’t fire cannons to call attention to their shining- they just shine.” Dwight L. Moody, American Evangelist and publisher

Mission: to see every school covered in prayer so that the power and presence of God are experienced in our communities.
