WEEK OF OCTOBER 3, 2016

PRAISE GOD WHO SEES!

“…For He views the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens.”                                             Job 28:24

“You are the God who sees me.”                                                                                                                          Genesis 16:13

Lord, we praise You for Your amazing ability to see everything and everyone, including us. You see and perceive all things physically and spiritually. Nothing is hidden from Your sight!

PRAY FOR HEARTS THAT ARE WILLING TO SERVE

“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May it be to me as You have said.”                                            Luke 1:38

“And now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart…”                                                              Deuteronomy 10:12

God, would You be raising up a generation of children who respect You, walk in all Your ways, love You and serve You with all their heart. Just as You did mighty things through Mary’s willing heart, may You accomplish great things through them.

PRAY FOR PRAYERFUL HEARTS

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”                                                                     Colossians 4:2

“Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”                                                                                                                                             James 5:16

Lord, we ask that You would develop hearts of prayer and thankfulness in the children of our city. As they get to know You better through prayer, which is listening and talking with You, we ask for Your powerful healing touch as they intercede for each other.

Please pray for the students and staff of Oregon City Schools and their superintendent, Hal Gregory.

“I cannot recall a day when I truly saved time by jumping into the day’s work without prayer. It may have seemed so at the moment, but as the day wore on, everything seemed out of sync, and time was lost.”
