Praise God, Who Created Work!
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.” Psalm 19:1
“The Lord God took the man (Adam) and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” Genesis 2:15
Lord, the work of Your hands is seen all around us. You are glorified through Your works. We praise You that You created us to work diligently.
Pray for Hearts Committed to their Work
God, this week as we have celebrated Labor Day, may students and staff appreciate afresh the privilege of learning, producing and focusing on work both at school and at home. According to Proverbs 14:23, “All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.” May our school communities be filled with individuals who do not merely talk, but who work diligently.
Pray for Hearts to Follow God’s Example of Rest
As we adjust to the routines of a new school year, may students and staff look to You for the balance between work and rest. May You provide safe places for individuals and families to rest in healthy ways. “Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it He rested from all the work of creating that he had done.” Genesis 2:2
Please pray for the students and staff of Bowling Green City Schools and their Superintendent, Mr. Francis Scruci.
“Real praying is a costly exercise but it pays far more than it costs. It is not easy work but it is most profitable of all work. We can accomplish more by time and strength put into prayer than we can by putting the same amount of time and strength into anything else.” -R.A. Torrey, American evangelist, pastor, educator and writer. Born 1856.
