30 Seconds of Silent Reflection

Cast your anxiety on him because he cares for you. I Peter 5:7

Praise God, Our Protector

For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11

Lord, we praise you for your angels all around us to watch over and keep us. From the time we wake up in the morning until when we go to sleep at night, you are protecting us from dangers that we see and those we know nothing about. Since you promised to keep us in all our ways, we thank you for also protecting us mentally by helping us not be overly stressed, fearful or burnt out by situations in our school community.

Pray for Hearts that Love God

Because he loves me, says the Lord, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. Psalm 91:14-15

Lord, as we reflect on 9/11, recent school shootings, bomb threats, violence happening around us or _________, your word says if we love you, acknowledge you and call on you, you will rescue, protect, answer, deliver and honor us. Help us to love you and love others more. Protect our schools and hearts from becoming cold and callous so we do what is right. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Encouraging Prayer Quote

Pray often, for prayer is a shield to the soul, a sacrifice to God, and a scourge for Satan.
John Bunyan, author of The Pilgrim’s Progress who was imprisoned for 12 years for refusing to give up preaching.
