Silent Prayer Reflection
As you gather with your group, pause for a moment of silence, asking God to prepare your heart to pray.
Praise God, our Light, our Salvation, our Stronghold from Fear
The Lord is my light and my salvation- whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1
Father God, we praise You for being our Light, who dispels all darkness as You rescue and redeem us, strengthening us to walk courageously.
Pray for Hearts that Embrace God, allowing His Light to Shine from our Lives
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
Father God, we pray that Your eternal Light, that pushes back the darkness, would shine brilliantly from each of Your sons and daughters in our schools, pouring out Your comfort, hope and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Encouraging Prayer Quote
There is nothing more worthwhile than to pray to God and to converse with Him, for prayer unites us with God as His companions. As our bodily eyes are illuminated by seeing the light, so in contemplating God our soul is illuminated by Him.
Early Church Father, St. John Chrysostom
