Praise God, Who Hears!

“I love the Lord because He hears and answers my prayers. Because He bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I live.”                                                                                                                                                      Psalm 116:12

“Before they call I will answer, while they are still speaking I will hear.”                                               Isaiah 65:24

Lord, we give You thanks for listening to our prayers. You, the creator of the universe, are not too busy or distracted to hear our voices.

Pray for Hearts that Listen

“Today if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.”                                                                         Hebrews 4:7

“Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.”                                     James 1:19

We pray for a new movement of hearts that will listen for Your voice. When we hear, may we not harden our hearts, but trust You in obedience. Thank You in advance for the healing and blessing that will come as a result of hearing Your voice.

Pray for Hearts to Hear of Needs and to Meet Them

“If a brother or sister is without clothes and lacks daily food and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace, keep warm, and eat well,’ but you don’t give them what the body needs, what good is it?”                         James 2:15

“Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”             Philippians 2:4

May our school community listen well to become aware of individual as well as district-wide needs. May we look beyond our own interests to see and to creatively meet the needs of others.

Please pray for the students and staff of Swanton Local Schools and their Superintendent, Mr. Chris Lake.

“God speaks in the silence of the heart. Listening is the beginning of prayer.”                            – Mother Teresa
