PRAISE GOD, OUR CREATOR!
“For by Him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or powers or rulers or authorities, all things were created by Him and for Him.” Colossians 1:16
“Let them praise the name of the Lord, for He commanded and they were created.” Psalm 148:5
Lord, our minds can not even fathom the magnitude of Your power and greatness as the creator of all things. As people created by You and for You, we bring You our praise.
PRAY FOR HEARTS THAT ARE SELF-CONTROLLED
“Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control.” Proverbs 25:28
“Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.” I Peter 1:13
God, we pray that the minds of the children would be self-controlled and focused on the task at hand, that of learning and growing at school, at home and in relationships with others. Do not allow this generation to be destroyed like a city whose walls are broken down, but may their walls be built and strengthened through self-control and walking with You in the light.
PRAY FOR HEARTS OF GRACE
“You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.” II Timothy 2:1
“Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.” Colossians 4:6
Lord, You do not treat us as our sins deserve but offer us unmerited favor through Jesus. May we be strong in that grace in our conversations and actions.
