PRAISE THE GOD OF HOPE!
“Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him.” Psalm 62:5
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
Lord, we lift our hearts to You and away from discouragement and despair, for You are the God of hope. We give You praise regardless of what our physical eyes may see, for we do not yet know the end of the story. We trust You and will rest in Your hope.
PRAY FOR HEARTS OF MERCY
“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” Luke 6:36
“…show mercy and compassion to one another.” Zechariah 6:9
Thank You, God, for extending mercy to us, not treating us as our sins deserve. May we in turn show mercy and compassion to others. We trust that You will bring healing to relationships as we yield to You.
PRAY FOR HEARTS OF DILIGENCE
“The sluggard craves and gets nothing, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.” Proverbs 13:4
“The people are building the temple with large stones and placing the timbers in the walls. The work is being carried on with diligence and is making rapid progress under their direction.” Ezra 5:8
God, we ask that the children in our schools will approach their work with diligence. May they follow the example of those who were building the temple, realizing the importance of staying focused and not allowing distractions to prevent them from completing their tasks.
Please pray for the students and staff of Eastwood Local Schools and their Superintendent, Mr. Brent Welker.
“At the end of each month I read over my prayer journal and see where God had done miraculous things…If I can list a number of answers to specific prayers in January, I feel better prepared to trust God in February.” -Bill Hybels
