WEEK OF JANUARY 30, 2017

PRAISE GOD, OUR HEALER!

“For I am the Lord, who heals you.”  Exodus 15:26

“He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed.”  Isaiah 53:5

Lord, we lift up our hearts in praise to You, our healer. We worship You for being pierced, crushed, punished and killed so that we could be healed.

PRAY FOR HEARTS SURRENDERED TO GOD

“Surrender your heart to God, turn to Him in prayer, and give up your sins-even those you do in secret. Then you won’t be ashamed; you will be confident and fearless.”  Job 11:13-15

“Surrender yourself to the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.”  Psalm 37:7

God, we ask that Your Spirit would draw the hearts of children to You in prayer, surrendering all to You. Surrendering their sin, their dreams, their abilities, their relationships, their past and their future. As You carry their shame and redeem their lives they will move forward in confidence, without fear.

PRAY FOR HEARTS OF HUMILITY

“When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.”  Proverbs 11:2

“The people I value are not proud. They are sorry for the wrong things they have done. They have great respect for what I say.”  Isaiah 66:2

May staff and students walk in humility and not in pride. Convict hearts to bring godly sorrow for sin and create in them great respect for Your words.

Please pray for the staff and students of Gibsonburg Schools and their Superintendent, Mr. Tim Murray.

“Prayer is not a means by which I seek to control God; it is a means of putting myself in a position where God can control me.” -Charles L. Allen
