Praise God, Our Defender

“Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, ‘King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter.  If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand.’”  Daniel 3:16,17

Just like the three who were thrown into the furnace, God, we thank You that we do not have to defend ourselves, but You will be with us and be our shield and defense. We ask that You would use every trial we go through to bring glory to You as You defend us and reveal Your righteousness.

Pray for Those Who Are Defenseless

“…When they cry out to the Lord because of their oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and he will rescue them.” Isaiah 19:20

Father, let those in our school community who are feeling oppressed in their situation, whether that is because of discrimination or even things that are happening in their homes that are ungodly, cry out to You and find You as their defender and salvation.

Pray for People to Defend Those in Need

“Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” Proverbs 31:9

Lord, allow those who know You to have eyes to see injustices around them and be willing speak up on behalf of those who are not being heard or judged fairly. Holy Spirit, give them words to say and guide their actions, especially when ______________________ in their schools. We thank You in advance for Your wisdom in these situations.

“We tend to use prayer as a last resort, but God wants it to be our first line of defense.”  Early 20th century evangelist, teacher and author, Oswald Chambers

Mission: to see every school covered in prayer so that the power and presence of God are experienced in our communities.
