Praise God Who Forgives!

“You are a forgiving God, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love.” Nehemiah 9:17

“You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call to You.” Psalm 86:5

God, we give You thanks and praise for being gracious, compassionate and forgiving. Your forgiveness, through Jesus’ sacrifice, is a reflection of Your love and goodness.

Pray for Hearts to Receive God’s Forgiveness

“Then I acknowledged my sin to You and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord’ and You forgave the guilt of my sin.”  Psalm 32:5

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”           I John 1:9

We pray that students and staff will freely acknowledge their sin to You, not hiding or rationalizing thoughts, words or actions. You are faithful and just to forgive and cleanse when we come to You.

Pray for Hearts of Forgiveness

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”  Ephesians 4:32

“Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”  Colossians 3:13

May our school community be a place marked by forgiveness; not by criticism, anger or revenge. May students and staff look to You to produce in them love, compassion, kindness and forgiveness.

We pray for the students and staff of Edon Northwest Local Schools and their Superintendent,  Mr. Anthony Stevens.

“When you can’t forgive someone, pray for them. It may or may not change them, but it will always change you.” -Anonymous
