Praise God, Our Protector

“But let all who take refuge in You be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread Your protection over them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You. Surely, Lord, You bless the righteous; You surround them with Your favor as with a shield.”  Psalm 5: 11-12

Almighty God, Who am I to be so worthy of Your love and protection? I am honored to be Your child and that You have called me by name. I am in awe of You and Your Holy presence in my life. I rest in You knowing You are my Abba seeking deep intimacy with me. You are my refuge, and You place a shield of protection over me and my life. Thank you, Lord!

Pray for Hearts that Need Protection

“You are my hiding place; You will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” Psalm 32:7

Lord, we pray for those who are struggling with circumstances in life that are unsafe- physically, emotionally, and/or spiritually. For where Satan wants to bring them harm, You will use for good and for Your glory! We lift up to You people and circumstances that are in danger, specifically ____________________________. Put people in their lives that can be a source of protection for them as well as those who will guide them to You Lord, their only true place of safety and protection.

Pray for Staff and Volunteers to be Shields of Protection

“But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command. May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.”                                 2 Thessalonians 3: 3-5

We pray in the name of Jesus, for staff and volunteers to receive Your strength and wisdom regarding those in need of protection. Open their eyes and hearts to the brokenness in their midst and give them courage to be the light and source of protection for those who are in need. Guide them with practical and applicable next steps and strength to persevere.

“Prayer is the place of refuge for every worry, a foundation for cheerfulness, a source of constant happiness, a protection against sadness.” – St John of Chrysostom was an early church father and author who served as archbishop of Constantinople.
