Praise God, Our Friend
“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:12-13
God, we thank and praise You, Our Friend. Thank You for sending Jesus to not only demonstrate true love, but also to show us Your example of true friendship. Thank You that we do not have to walk this life alone, but with You, Our Friend, by our side and in our hearts.
Pray for Hearts that Demonstrate Godly Friendship
“You are my friends if you do what I command.” John 15:14
God, we ask that believers in our school community demonstrate Your love so that their friends may be drawn into a relationship with You. We know that love is from You, that love covers a multitude of sins, and with love flowing through our school, lives can be changed. May this school year be one in which the entire atmosphere of our school be impacted through positive friendships.
Pray for Hearts of Friendship
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Father, we pray that no student, staff or parent in this school community feels alone. Please provide supportive and encouraging friendships for each and every person. Give everyone eyes to see those who are lonely, a heart to care for others and hands that extend out in friendship. We specifically pray that ______________________.
“The truth is you always grow to love the people you pray for. That’s because you develop God’s heart of love for them.” Stormie Omartian, American Christian author
